We don't like everything Richard Swift does. A lot of his catalog is pretty missable, but when he busts out with his Motown revival sound, we just love it. Two of our favorite Swift songs come off of 'Ground Trouble Jaw' a 2008 digital package released by indie label of note: Secretly Canadian. In 'The Bully', acoustic thespian Richard Swift plays the neighborhood douchebag, calling you out for leaning against his car. He sounds all tough and shit until he breaks into his signature falsetto. Speaking of falsetto. The chorus to 'Lady Luck' is so catchy it's out of control.
