Luke Top as a solo stud has piqued our interest. His band Fool’s Gold is filling ears fast. In fact, I just saw FG play at the Masonic Temple in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. My man Luke was a vision in white as he led a talented band of zombies (everyone closes their eyes onstage or rolls them back into their skulls) to the holy land. The show was hot; but I’m a lyrics man, which brings us to Luke Top’s solo album, “Friends.” On tracks like Friends, Plainest Drought, and Souls of Men Luke’s voice is deep and prophetic. Lord Save Me from this Valley is straight out of a Coen Brothers movie. His shit is catchy in the honest way. Luke Top and his “Friends” are poised for success. Below is a remix to Friends by Mad Decent's DJ Tugboat and Plainest Drought.
