The dude can move. Francis Starlite does his thing and he does it well. Equal parts Prince, James Brown, and Van Morrison, Francis puts out unapoligetic dance jams and honest ballads. When we saw him in New York, there wasn't a foot in the house that wasn't tapping. A true Showman. His real secret weapon is his backing band: A bunch of Wesleyan graduates who can lock into the tightest syncopated grooves. He has nearly all of his recordings available for free on his website, but go buy a record or something anyway. The dude tweets his finances and it looks like he could use the money. Francis might be broke, but I have a feeling he doesn't have any trouble pulling in the pelts anyway.
